A new hybrid 3G / 4G modem is coming from Sprint soon. This device will replace the U300 that is currently shipping now. We expect this device to offer full Mac Support along with hybrid 3G/4G support. When you are in a 4G native area, you will get 4G speeds, when you are not, the modem will drop down to 3G. Sprint Ovation U760

This next generation USB modem from Novatel Wireless, microSD slot, built-in antenna, one touch activation, Sprint Smartview software. Sprint will be shipping the Ovation U760 early next week. The Ovation U760 has the following features:

Novatel Wireless Launches Ovation MC760 EVDO Rev-A USB Micro Modem

Novatel Wireless Inc, a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, today announced the continued evolution of its USB product line with the introduction of the Ovation™ MC760 Micro Modem. We don't expect the Novatel MC760 to be available for another few months from carriers.

Looking at the latest Sprint Rebate forms, we noticed they do list a Novatel Ovation U760
, so we expect the MC760 to be call the Ovation U760 when released from Sprint. Looking at Verizon's naming convention, we would expect this device to be called the Novatel USB760 if ever released from Verizon.

Sierra Wireless 598 USB EVDO Modem

Looking at the current Sprint Rebate Form we noticed the Sierra 598

Since this is on the rebate form we expect it to be available soon.

Looks like the Sierra 598 will be a USB EVDO Modem. It may be called the AirCard 598 or the Ovation 598.
